The 5th-year student of Ternopil National Medical University named after I. Gorbachevsky
"Volunteers from all over Ukraine and around the world are now working as a single engine to help people in need. Although my colleagues and I spend most of our time volunteering, I believe that this is only a small part of what we can do. The victory is ours, because Ukraine is the capital of great people!”

She started volunteering in 2018, when she was a sophomore, and remains up to now: launching a mentoring project for freshmen, organizing educational projects for Ternopil schoolchildren to raise their knowledge of many diseases such as diabetes, AIDS, tuberculosis, and it is also at her initiative that medical students began holding sex education lessons for teenagers in schools and professional educational institutions of our city.

She became a student of the year for active volunteering in 2020

She is sorting drugs along with other volunteers since the war started.

"People who volunteer always have an inner peace, because they just don't have time to read bad news and focus on them, which is very relevant today. I feel that even with my small acts of humanity I can help those who are in need!”

Confident, active and goal-oriented, the future of Ukrainian medicine - this is how Dmytro can be characterized. Throughout the entire educational period at university, he is actively involved in volunteering and public service.

He has been sorting drugs since the war started, as he considers that everyone in the back have to do their best to come to a victory together.

The Fate didn't ask for consent to a radical change in everyone's life, but now it is very important to find new meaning in the circumstances where we are. We coordinate the settlement and accommodation of people who have been forced to leave their homes and trying to give them back a sense of comfort and security. I am glad that I can be useful here and now, helping people who really need it.

Iryna has been forced to leave Kyiv and happened to be in Ternopil.

Here she met wonderful people from the charity foundation and joined the team of volunteers.

"War is the time when art and creativity are acquiring new colours, "living" in emotions and life stories. We already have something to tell to the whole world! Now the best choice is to devote all of our energies and fire to support Ukraine! That is the reason why I help volunteering in a hostel for migrants, coordinate their accommodation and create comfortable conditions for their temporary admission. I am making the utmost effort together with the “Ternopil” Charitable Foundation to get our victory!"

I'm Oleksandr, a volunteer of the "Ternopil" Charity Foundation. Volunteers are people who, following the call of their own hearts, are more than willing to help those who ask for help, this is the inner capacity of people who really care. Join the activities of the foundation - this is an interesting experience that brings excellent results, and most importantly - brings us closer to Victory!!!

"We have no right to be discouraged, as long as everyone are doing their bit for victory by their faith in it!"

Staying human in all circumstances is what means the most for Olga. Creativity, a keen sense of justice and a constant movement to diversify is what clearly characterizes her. She has been volunteering since her school years.

She had organized children's camps, charitable fundraisers, including ones for homeless animals, whose fate she is concerned about the most, charities, such as "I'm with you" at TNMU and "Draw for animals", and charity fairs many times. She worked as a volunteer at various events initiated by active students of Ternopil (such as the municipal student parliament, the student parliament of TNMU and the initiative of other medical students).

She has been a mentor (a friend and a coach of freshmen) at TNMU for two years. She has been helping everywhere she could since the war started: from weaving the camouflage nets up to sorting medication.

"I am sure that everyone is doing the impossible thing now, even with a small good deed, because our strength is in unity! Glory to Ukraine!"

Persistence, stubbornness and sense of fairness - these are the features that accompanied Valeria in her affairs during the whole life. She started volunteering in 2019, when it was her first year of medical university. She took part in making dumplings for our brave defenders. She also took part in various student activities in subsequent years, in particular giving lectures on sexual education for students, and later established her own series of lectures: the projects "Mental Health" and "The Influence of Gadgets".

Valeria is also a Deputy Leader of the “Mentoring” Program at TNMU since 2020. Together with friends she has been collecting and sorting medication since the day the war started, She considers this work as her direct scope of responsibility.
